Chocolate-Covered OREO Cookie Cake

This was Choc-Covered OREO Cookie Cake. The recipe was given by my friend from the Kraft's website. The recipe's original ingredient was requesting for BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, in stead, we used Hersey Dark Chocolate to replace it. It tasted perfectly great! We even doubled up the chocolate's quantity because we wanted the cake to rich in the arrogant taste of Hersey chocolate (the final product eventually ended up with the taste that we were actually craving). This was the most chocolate-rich-cake that i had ever baked! We all loved it so much!

Well, this was an easy layered chocolate cake recipe. No harm to try!

Apple Pie + Green Bean Soup

This was my first trial on baking pie. It was apple pie, and surprisingly tasted good. The making process was simple, as easy as ABC! I did not made the pie's filling, though. I bought the filling in can from store. However, the only effort that I had put on the pie was the crust, especially the braided-crust cover on top of the pie. This was the only part that I felt proud of myself (hehe..).
The apple pie tasted perfectly delicious. It was neither too sweet nor too sour (thanks to the brilliant choice of xxx brand apple pie filling). Anyway, I think I should try to make the apple pie's filling next time, instead of buying the canned filling from the store.

This was a very very ordinary 'tong soi' back home, namely green bean tapioca soup. The green bean soup remind me of my dad. He always make green bean soup during damn hot day because green bean soup is a good drinks to prevent us get 'heat'. I personally love green bean soup because I was fond of the bean's distinctive smell and the 'sandy' liquid feeling when swallowing the soup into the mouth.

Egg tarts

Well, I am a typical Kuching girl. When talking about the Kuching local cuisine, almost all my west Malaysia friends for sure will think of 'Sarawak Laksa' and 'Kolomee'. Undeniably, I love 'Sarawak Laksa' and 'Kolomee'. However, the one and the only food that I miss the most is the egg tart. Although Kuching egg tart is not the best, if compare with the egg tarts from Macao, Taiwan, China and Hong Kong ('su kao kao'!~~Hokkien), it's still my most favorite egg tart. The reason is that it contains the taste of Kuching, the taste that remind me of my childhood, and definitely the taste of 'home SWEET home'!
